WILDLIFE ADVOCACY ISSUES
Help WildCare speak up for wildlife! These are advocacy issues on which we are working.
Why You Should Never Use Glue Traps
A glue trap is a small, flat board made of cardboard or plastic that is coated with an extremely sticky adhesive. The glue trap doesn’t instantly kill the animal — the glue is not toxic. Instead, the animal stays stuck, dying over the course of several days from starvation, dehydration and suffocation.
Fire Mitigation Before Wildlife Baby Season
Help reduce the risk of wildfires in your neighborhood and help baby wildlife by timing your work before baby season.
Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)
How can you help prevent the spread of HPAI? What are the symptoms in wild and domestic birds? What should you do if you have domestic birds?
Take Action Against Rat Poisons Rodenticides
Since 2006, WildCare has been working to combat the use of rat poisons (rodenticides) to control rodents. Why are we against rat poisons? Because rat poisons don’t just kill rodents. They also kill the animals that eat rats and mice, like hawks, owls, foxes, raccoons and skunks.
