After-hours Emergency Line (E-Line) Volunteers!
Emergency Line (E-Line) Volunteers answer WildCare's After-hours Emergency Line from 5 - 9pm on a regularly-scheduled 4-hour shift. Our E-Line Volunteers make a real difference for wildlife!
E-Line Volunteers provide help and support for members of the public facing a wildlife situation of concern.
All training is provided, but qualified applicants must have excellent customer service skills (the job requires both patience and empathy), and an interest in learning how to help callers navigate wildlife emergencies.
You'll answer the Emergency Line from your own cell phone (you will log into the WildCare E-Line account on the Zoom app to answer calls) and you will answer and provide assistance to callers from 5pm until 9pm.
Although you will be on "your" shift on the same evening every week, the number of calls you handle will vary significantly between seasons. During Baby Season, you'll get between 5 and 15 calls per shift. During the winter, you may only get one or two. But no matter how many calls you field, you'll be making a real difference for wildlife!
Thank you! Our E-Line Volunteer Team is currently fully staffed, and we are not taking new applications.
